The Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) is introducing a new policy model to support a more strategic and efficient approach to procurement of goods and services. Transition to the new framework will take place over the next 12–18 months. The current supply policies will continue to apply until an organisation has successfully transitioned.

Who does the reform apply to?
All Victorian Government departments and offices subject to VGPB policy must transition to the new framework.
Other agencies and local government are not mandated to comply with VGPB policy. However, they are encouraged to apply best practice procurement policies and processes.
VGPB policies relates to procurement of goods and services only. They do not apply to building and construction or health related goods, services and equipment.
